MolenVliet Wines - Our Wines

Since 2005 MolenVliet has only produced red wines but from 2011 we will be bottling a Sauvignon Blanc and a Pinot Rose as a result of huge demand from our regular customers.

MolenVliet red wines are characterized by a medium crimson with a lighter edge. The MolenVliet range of wines is renowned for its nose which is abundantly aromatic and in the company of dark roasted spices and dried herbs.

Bitter chocolate and black peppers lend a hand in the background and provide depth to this warm and inviting bouquet. The palate of our wines is all about balance.

Sweet fruit plays on the entry and lends itself to early enjoyment.

The wine is full bodied, round and supple with an appealing structure made more enjoyable with the persistent spiciness of Shiraz and Merlot in the blends. The Cabernet Sauvignon lends density and colour to a wine that shows how blending can impart harmony to a wine. A slight spiciness underlies and supports the fruit.

On the palate you find the same flavours as on the nose with a ripe tannin base, making the wine linger in your mouth. All in all a fine balance between wood and wine.
