MolenVliet's maiden vintage - A product of an exceptional harvest, consisting of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon MolenVliet Proprietor's Selection 2005 is a rich, opaque-plum, with a red rim.

A nose of pure fruit, with great depth, hints of plum, fennel and lead pencil show off the purity of aroma, with a little dark chocolate thrown in for good measure.

The wine is only now hitting its peak, with firm, yet rounded tannins and a lovely mouth feel develops a palate and leaves with a wonderfully satisfying mélange of fruit and subtle oak flavours. Good for at least another 5 years. 3 Star rated in Platter's Guide.

Also the product of the 2005 harvest, the Molenvliet Proprietor's Blend 2005 consisting of 41% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Cabernet Franc, 20% Petit Verdot and 10% Merlot Molenvliet Proprietor's Blend 2005 is a semi-opaque garnet-ruby colour with a brick red rim. Aromas of freshly crushed red berries predominate, with an underlying liquorice character.

This firm and youthful dry blend shows restraint and manners at this early stage of its life, yet with promise of developing into something special.

Its classical framework will fill out soon into a fleshy, voluptuous wine, with subtle oak underscoring the finish.

This wine is from our 2006 harvest and consist of 47% Shiraz, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 13% Merlot. The Diagonal Reserve is an exceptional wine boosted by the excellent Shiraz which we've added to the blend to give it extra body. 4 Star rated in the Platter Guide.

This is our maiden single variety Shiraz which we've released on the advice of our winemaker who reckons that our Shiraz is most probably the only of its kind because of our terroir and the cooler slopes where our vines are grown. A well known viticulturist commented that this wine was produced from the best block of Shiraz vines in our region. 4 Star rated in Platter's Guide.

60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Shiraz and 10% Merlot even better than the 2007 Diagonal Reserve because we added more cabernet and Shiraz to give it more body. This wine is a continuation of the excellent blends which we've produced till now and we have high expectations that it will achieve 5 Stars in the next Platter's Guide.

This is a very unique blend consisting of 50% Merlot and 50% Shiraz which is a first of its kind, as far as we know, but what a surprise! We made it by chance, but it seems that we've produced one of the best easy drinking wines we've ever tasted. 4 Star rated in Platter's Guide.
